Related: About this forumMSNBC eyeing 11 p.m. time slot for Brian Williams through Election Day
CNNBrian Williams is expected to get his own time slot on MSNBC between Labor Day and Election Day, according to sources with knowledge of the plan.
According to the plan, Williams will anchor a special 11 p.m. program wrapping up the day's campaign news, the sources said.
The plan is subject to change until the scheduling move is officially announced. But the Williams program has been under consideration for weeks inside MSNBC.
One of the sources said it will be a half hour show, with MSNBC's usual replays of prime time programming picking up at 11:30 p.m.

(40,212 posts)2. 30 minutes seems a little thin.
But it seems like a good idea. Brian Williams leaves me a little cold, but he does have good chemistry with Rachel when they work together.

His screw up was loose talk about how brave he was on a late night talk show.. Pretty male-standard exaggeration for the sake of a good tale. I personally think his exile was overkill.

running new news during the time slot the last couple weeks.
Testing for audience and mining the time slot for the future.

on Rachel's days off.

I have noticed a concerted effort on television...to minimize POC...not just the news either.
