Is Trump's presidential campaign the worst you've ever seen?

From a major party, I mean. I'm trying to not just say yes because it's easy to when it's the one happening right now, but this level of incompetence is SHOCKING.

And look, we all hate Trump, and he certainly seems like a moron. But this is beyond that. No ads, no local ground game, no clear cut message, no strategy... it's insane. It's the only reason I would even entertain the whole "he's throwing it" theory. A DOG would do a better job running for office.

Yet, despite a cartoonish level of buffoonery, and even though he is definitely losing, he's STILL actually winning SOME states. He STILL has MILLIONS of people willing to vote for him. It's madness.

for a normal campaign that would mean an external event, these days, a major terrorist attack.

in the case of the trump campaign, the october surprise could just be a massive media blitz. if he looks like he finally got his act together, the media could turn and say it was all just a brilliant strategy to lower expectations to the point where merely looking human is a win for him.

...why not PLAN for it not to work? If he had any kind of boring, workmanlike run going, the race would at least be a bit closer if he were to try a last minute steal.

"Character is destiny."

Donald Trump's campaign is a reflection of who he is. It's disorganized, unserious and poorly strategized.

This campaign is just like most of his business ventures: a failure.
