After missing Donald Trump's last appearance in Wisconsin a few weeks ago, Gov. Scott Walker says he plans to attend the Republican presidential candidate's rallies and fundraiser in Milwaukee and West Bend Tuesday night.

"My thought was yesterday I'd monitor what was happening here, but I imagine as long as things continue to be positive, which they appear to be, I will make it," Walker said, referring to the unrest in Milwaukee following Saturday night's fatal police shooting.

He said at a news meeting Tuesday that he did not attend Trump's rally in Green Bay a few weeks ago because he was in northern Wisconsin after issuing a state of emergency in eight northern counties after major flooding that wiped out many roads and homes in the areas.

"I always put my duties as governor first, but in this case I can do what I need to do today and still be there later tonight," Walker said.
