Trump to bring Christie to first formal security briefing
Donald Trump will get his first formal classified security briefing on Wednesday, according to a new report.
The GOP nominee will trek down to the FBI’s New York field office at Federal Plaza and bring along top advisers Chris Christie and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a former senior intelligence official and big-time Trump booster, ABC News reported.
Staffers from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence will lead the briefing, which will inform the candidate about major security threats and concerns.
The FBI’s only role will be to host the session, the network said.
Both Christie and Flynn are considered leading candidates for roles in a Trump administration should he win the White House.
