Her campaign made a statement afterwards to the effect of "Of COURSE Hassan thinks Hillary Clinton is honest and trustworthy", but the damage had already been done.

checking each one off, instead of even listening to the question. The Repub mouths do that quite successfully all the time, but since Democrats are new to that dodge, they aren't smooth at it.
