Why is the RNC and the Trump campaign stealing material from The West Wing?

Seriously, they are running like Hillary Clinton is Josiah Bartlett in a subplot from seasons 1 through 3 of The West Wing and has been hiding recurring remitting MS or some shit.

What the fuck is up with THAT?

Aaron Sorkin should send them a cease and desist like the artists whose music they steal.

wise they won't encourage anyone else to. The West Wing was very much admired by many.

Was written about the Clintons- maybe because Frank and Claire had a "body count". Dumbasses didn't realize it was entirely based an older British show. And mostly about the kind of media and poll manipulation the Clintons never came close to mastering.

limits their parents may have taught them long ago. Simplest screening test in the world for an intact moral code: just mention her name and see what comes out.

A decade from now, will being past 8 years of a Clinton presidency finally have caused some of these people to quietly calm down a bit? I have visions of many still ranting in rest homes whenever Hillary appears on the TV, only then it'll be diagnosed as clinical dementia.

is scary, and just an indicator of many things are going wrong.

I read that mass manipulation has trained many millions to react literally like the clinical definition of psychopathic behaviors against "outsiders." Psychopaths don't have normal restraints on behavior and consciences and/or can set them aside at will. Used to be most people just didn't like "others," disapproved of them, but now for many restraints on extreme reactions are almost nonexistent. We're seeing this every day right here, not just in Trump rallies.

I now believe that our nation really needs a basic "no yelling fire in a crowded theater" type of law. This would be to prevent mass manipulation of whole population groups with both lies and distortions so profound that they amount to gross deception.

Since so few people read, we also need to enforce the original legal standard that networks set aside a required amount of time every day for reporting of news, which would conform to basic standards. Once we regulate the internet as a utility we should be able to do something like that for cable or whatever replaces it.

I keep faith in humanity knowing that about 2/3 are okay with or embrace diversity. It's always been about 1/3 that is xenophobic it's just that they find and support each other more easily these days.

Yet that "psychopathic" behavior. It doesn't mean crazy, it mostly just translates to a pumped-up meanness and malicious and hostile acting out. Like most of society no longer recognizes what used to be normal limits when relating to "those others," whoever they are.

And the news: Not just little scraps without depth or explanation, as short as possible and design for maximum viewer appeal, sandwiched between long blocks of commercials. With of course a heart-warming story at the end to send them away smiling. A grave problem.
