Related: About this forumAnderson Cooper Interviews Hillary: He's Stupid or He's a RW Shill
How do you conduct an interview and ask questions that have no basis in fact? That's what Cooper did tonight. He basically took the RW talking point lies about the CGI, presented them as fact and asked them of Hillary.
Really disappointing. He's officially part of the problem.

(1,427 posts)Typical CNN news panel:
Men/women in tinfoil hats (basically all Trump supporters) - "Hilary is one of those reptilian creatures from V."
Anderson, "Werewolf" Blitzer (one of their closed captioners actually called him Werewolf last month), etc. - "So, Hilary, some people say you're one of the lizard people, how do you respond?"
Hilary or her supporters - (thinking "WTF?" - then has to give an adult answer to this drivel.)

(11,605 posts)For a single speech. And Anderson Cooper is not running for president.
I support Hillary now but I don't think the speeches to Wall Street are an illegitimate issue. I think questions about that are far more legit than the nonsense about her health or the Clinton Foundation.

(18,258 posts)There is a potential conflict of interest in that Cooper can frame coverage on his program to benefit organiztions that have paid him for speeches.

(1,901 posts)Many politicians and other celebrities, including former secretaries of state give paid speeches, it's literally NEVER been an issue before.
The speeches to wall street are pretty illegitimate of an issue, per those who know anything about these types of highly paid vanity speeches, where people get a big ticket celebrity to impress their audience.

(118,656 posts)can handle it because she's coming from a place of truth. Trump cannot as evidenced by his total lack of appearances on networks as of late, except for maybe FOX. As long as they keep pointing out Trump's lies I am all for them being just as tough with her. Except she doesn't lie like Trump does.
Anderson Cooper is a very bright journalist. He pulls down fictions. Hillary withstood his questions. They are both the better for it. So is journalism.

(11,605 posts)A few months after the primaries, she appeared on a cable news program as an Obama surrogate, which felt surreal at first, but she did such a great job that I remember thinking "I am really glad to have her on our side now."
Hopefully she did the same with Anderson.

IF you would like to speak out on M$M not reporting news that would upset the GOP, and treating GOP big Lies as if they were fact - the Washington Post asked readers for ideas for editorials. THe time to recommend ideas has passed, but you can still add your comment to the article reporting the results of their survey or readers - check this out for link: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512382540

Andrea Mitchell is I think even worse than Cooper. I cannot take 5 minutes of her stuttering & stammering around. She has a hard time just getting a sentence out & then the sentence or question is BS, for example, going on about Clinton emails or the Foundation which is as I said, BS.
It is really getting more disappointing every day regarding the media.
