The 6 Steps To Being Brainwashed By Hate Speech At A Trump Rally

[break][break]1 - SHOCK - Trump just yelled the Lady he's running against for president is a BIGOT![break]

2 - CONFUSION - Immediately looking to your side, you know something wholly uncalled for has occurred.[break]

3 - PEER PRESSURE - Looking at the masses of people cheering, you realize this is accepted behavior here.[break]

4 - LOSS OF WILLPOWER - Because you're easily influenced from watching Faux News, you look at another supporter in the VIP seating to see how you should behave at the hateful rhetoric being spewed.[break]

5 - 1ST BABY STEP TO OBEDIENCE - Realizing the VIP seated next to you approves of the language, you try your first attempt at being supportive of the hate that you initially were disturbed by.[break]

6 - CONGRATS, YOU'RE NOW A MINDLESS LEMMING - You stare forward with a bizarre Joker smile, and realize you're on TV and everyone who knows you sees that you've laughed off yet another new low by the All-Time Greatest Self-Deluded Shit-Stirring 'Master of Projection' that the GOP has ever tried to dump on America!

I feel strongly that if you are attending a Trump rally then you don't have a brain at all.

I couldn't help but notice her in the background and thought, even she, a supporter, is shocked by Trump's vulgarity. So now I wonder: do Trump supporters know what a vulgar and vicious liar is Trump, because their parents taught them better? Or are his supporters so corrupt, because they are just corrupt and indifferent about his behavior?

we're raised better, and for whatever reason find themselves one of the few at a Trump rally (always been a Republican, business pressure, seeking entertainment) who might still not be totally gone when they attend the rally.

Most of the people scream and holler approval at every twisted thought, and there's one or two who think wow that's vulgar, but probably anyone who attends a Trump rally is pretty easily led, so they go through the steps to being a hateful follower!

Her facial expressions were the most shocked of any attendee yet. Maybe there's hope for her out of the thousands of crazies who go to his rallies, and maybe Momma and Poppa taught her better like you questioned.

an answer, and then spending the rest of their miserable lives doing what they were told.

They didn't just walk into this and get sprayed with bigot juice. They have been like this their whole lives.

Unless the person who recently said "Hearts don't change, not really" is a liar. And I don't think she is.

One of my old history professors told me a story about a friend of his who had been captured by the Germans during WWII. He and a group of other prisoners were forced to attend a Hitler rally. Even though he hated everything Hitler stood for and could not understand the words, the reaction of the crowd to Hitlers speech was so mesmerizing that he was swept up in the moment and had to force himself to keep his right arm at his side and not yell sieg heil. Since most people at a Trump rally have at least some sympathy with his ideas your scenario makes sense.
