Trump just thoroughly shamed Kellyanne Conway, showing that she has zero influence

The whole idea was that she was "softening" Trump to reach out to women, college-educated voters, etc. has been proven false -- she was receiving ridiculous amounts of praise for it. Trump's "speech" tonight, which is the most rabid of his anti-immigrant diatribes, shows that she has had zero influence on him. If she had any sense she would resign, and let Bannon run the shit show openly.

1. You're right. And I'm almost GLAD we were tricked into thinking this would be a "policy speech".

no idea why they love her so much. She decided to join Trump's campaign so she should go down with him.

now, and anyone in the media trying to say Kellyanne signed off on this speech is full of shit. This is 100% Bannon hate-mongering (not that I think Kellyanne is a saint -- I certainly do not!)

She's been a frequent and, frankly, in comparison with others, a calm and rational presence in the media world for many years. They know her and probably like her.

But the OP is correct - she's being used and yesterday was made to look ridiculous. If she's smart - and she no doubt is - she's trying to figure out her exit strategy (and compensation package) . . .

Email all the talking heads. Let them know you are pissed at their lack of judgement. Remind them they are also responsible for bringing this nightmare into American politics. Kellyanne deserves her own special place in hell - but the media need to understand we are also looking at their role in this nightmare.

One email may not make a difference but thousands just might make a dent. We have nothing to lose.

Trump campaign CEO and manager part of secret ‘extremist’ right-wing group: SPLC...

According to an SPLC statement, Breitbart.com CEO Stephen Bannon and pollster Kellyanne Conway — hired as Trump 2016’s CEO and campaign manager, respectively — are members of the Council for National Policy (CNP), a highly secretive group that includes a roster of controversial white supremacists and rightwing agitators.

17. There is also a history ..... With Kellyanne Conway 's husband and President Bill Clinton

"Conway isn't the only person in her family who has worked to take down the Clintons. Her husband, George T. Conway III, a lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, was behind some of the most bitter lawsuits against Bill Clinton in the 1990s and stories that were promoted via the Drudge Report. "

http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-08-18/kellyanne-conway-takes-on-toughest-role-yet-trump-whisperer

"As it turns out, some of the most serious damage to Bill Clinton's Presidency came not from his high-profile political enemies but from a small secret clique of lawyers in their 30's who share a deep antipathy toward the President, according to nearly two dozen interviews and recently filed court documents. "

"While cloaking their roles, the lawyers were deeply involved -- to an extent not previously known -- for nearly five years in the Paula Jones sexual misconduct lawsuit. They then helped push the case into the criminal arena and into the office of the independent counsel, Kenneth W. Starr. "

" George T. Conway 3d, a New York lawyer educated at Yale, shared Mr. Marcus's low view of President Clinton. When the Jones case led to Ms. Lewinsky, Mr. Marcus and Mr. Conway searched for a new lawyer for Mrs. Tripp. Mr. Marcus and Mr. Porter helped arrange for Mrs. Tripp to take her explosive allegations to Mr. Starr.

Their efforts are only now coming into focus, as a few of their associates have begun to discuss their activities and their names appear repeatedly in the final legal bills submitted by the original Jones legal team. Messrs. Marcus, Porter and Conway did not respond to numerous requests for comment.

In my opinion Kellyanne is just giving campaign a familiar face and that is all .... While the rest work to bring the Clintons down
