Donald Trump Meets With African-American Leaders in North Philadelphia

Donald Trump Meets With African-American Leaders in North Philadelphia Friday as Protester and Supporter Scuffle Outside

The round table discussion to include 14 African-American business, civic and religious leaders
By Vince Lattanzio

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump met with leaders of the African-American community in North Philadelphia on Friday afternoon as protests took place outside. The round table meeting with 14 African-American business, civic and religious leaders happened around 2 p.m. inside The View at 800 N. Broad Street, a reception hall affiliated with Greater Exodus Baptist Church.Calvin Tucker, a GOP delegate and member of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, was set to introduce the candidate.

Trump's visit is a move to reverse cavernous unpopular support among minorities, including the black community.

Outside the venue, about a dozen protesters lined up in the middle of Broad Street holding sings about slavery and bigotry. At one point, a Trump supporter got into a scuffle with one of the protesters. Philadelphia Police officers quickly separated the two men. The Trump supporter asked for charges to be filed, but police declined to make an arrest saying the pushing event didn't warrant action.

(there's a video clip of the altercation between protestors and a Trump supporter)

As a note, not sure who they are calling "leaders" but these are black Republicans who are certainly not any "leader" of 90% of the black community here. Also there were more than "a dozen" out there protesting.

Also some pics that had been tweeted out of the protestors -

As a counter, our City Council President (Darrell Clarke), some council members and others held a press conference denouncing Trump.
