I intend to survive for the next 63 days is to stay on DU and listen to Rachel's podcast while walking the dog. The rest will drive a democrat batty.

The overall coverage is quite fair. They do have some obnoxious Trump surrogates there, but they don't hesitate to take them to task. And honestly, those surrogates sound more and more idiotic every day. If a network just bashes Trump and only reports favorably on Clinton then they are being biased. I think that CNN has the most balanced coverage.

I do not have a problem with them interviewing Trump surrogates who promote him. I think that is to be expected, and I was surprised and pleased to hear, as of last weekend CNN anchors have started taking a pretty hard line against the most egregious of Trump surrogates talking points/lies such as Hillary's "health" and when they tried to say that HRC was the original "birther" or wild conspiracies about the Clintons and Vince Foster, etc.

CNN however, DOES fail miserably in one very important regard, imo, and it is shared by all other outlets as well. CNN repeats ad nauseum the "honest and trustworthy" meme in regards to HRC, even though she has been objectively proven the most transparent and honest candidate, by a mile.

At this point, they are not reporting this issue, they are creating this issue.

What they do NOT do, is repeatedly, ad nauseum, address the very REAL, objectively proven, easily observable, utter and complete lack of Donald Trump to be "honest and trustworthy."

They do it without just calling them lies. They are hammering away at Trump's inconsistencies repeatedly and daily. This is great for undecided voters or people who haven't been paying a lot of attention. Since I'm an Independent with pretty middle of the road views I perhaps am looking at this a bit differently. What CNN is doing right now is going to chip away at Trump's support by casual viewers by proving him a liar without being finger pointing and offensive about it. Honestly, they are making his surrogates look like complete idiots and smarmy liars who think it's funny to make things up as they go along. If a network comes across as obviously pro one side or the other then people looking to decide aren't likely to watch and won't trust what is being reported. CNN is doing a good job of just reporting and pushing for clarification where Trump's surrogates can't clarify and sound dumb. This is good.
