Especially after the foreign policy statements that baboon unloaded as his knowledge on Natl Security.

No soldier today is that stupid to believe Trump.

4. Why does any Republican??

Romney beat Obama in 2012. That's baffling, too.

I can understand John McCain, but why the heck would anyone want Trump when he said horrible things about McCain.

My sister just retired from the Air Force. She's for Hillary all the way. But many people at her former base are staunch Republicans. They may just vote a party line!!!

...who would have a great deal of trouble with the very idea of a woman Commander-In-Chief.

Many of the guys in his unit were awful when it came to politics. They listened to Rush Limbaugh every single day. <gag> I remember before the Bush/Gore election I sent out an email reminding everyone to vote. I added stay out of the "bushes". What did I do that for? One guy fired back that he would never vote for a Democrat while he had a breath in his body. Another reason Hillary will have a tough time is because she is female. Many don't want to serve with women let alone have one as commander in chief.

9. In 2004, Bush had a 55 point lead over Kerry amongst active duty personnel

" By an astonishing 72 to 17 percent margin, the active-duty military personnel who took the survey favored Bush over Kerry (Guard and Reserve respondents favored Bush, 73 to 18 percent). Frankly, the margin greatly exceeds anything that I or any other analyst had expected."

They point to a decline in defense spending under Obama, but not that he was winding down two wars.

13. Vets and Service Members are more likely to be Republicans. Not all, but slightly more than half.

The GOP always tries to be the party of the American Flag and Apple Pie. Democrats or Liberals are viewed as the party of those who want to burn the American Flag. You cannot be an active member of the armed services and not love your country. Everything about the military centers around a love of country, defending her honor, and a spirit of all for one, and one for all. You're also supposed to put your politics aside, but you pick up on things because you always have a picture in the office of the current Commander in Chief, so at some point someone is going to utter something that will let you know real quick which side people are on. It's apolitical in the sense that nobody sits around talking about who's a Democrat and who's a Republican, because there is a bond and a sense of duty that transcends politics, although you can get a sense that the majority of older folks are Republicans. Those whose father or older brother was in the service are likely to be Republican as well. All the military publications tend to lean conservative. It doesn't mean that liberals can't serve their country or love their country, too. Many of the enlisted service members enter after high school and therefore, do not have a college degree when they enter the service, and may not obtain one until after they leave the service, if then. This is another reason that they may tend to lean towards Republican since the military is still a place where you can raise a family on one salary (though it may not be easy).
