Pneumonia is hardly contagious these days in the 1st world. Of course if the Republicans had their way they would willingly spread diseases of all kinds just to cause misery.

Pneumonia can kill. It can take a month or more to recover. If you push too hard while I'll, it can set you back for weeks.

But the real issue is whether it is vital or bacterial. Viral is much harder to treat and takes a sufferer much longer to recover.
