Trump’s GOP; Old, But No Longer Grand

It ain’t over till it’s over.

Sure, sure, Trump supporters, keep believing it.

And just think, Republicans, if you had nominated anyone else — Little Marco, John Kasich, Mitt Romney for godssake — you’d be looking at four sure years in the White House. Only 36% of registered voters believe Trump is honest and trustworthy. But only 34% believe that about Hillary.

The least likable Democratic nominee in history has lucked out: an even less likable Republican. Hillary can’t lose. Those who talk about an October surprise misunderstand the Trump vs. Hillary contest. If ISIS were to launch a suicide-bombing somewhere in the US in late October, would Americans suddenly decide that shoot-from-the-hip Trump would be the preferred person to handle our foreign policy?
