(17,199 posts)I hope all of Hillary's surrogates will redirect the discussion back to the Trump scandals which are REAL scandals.

(7,004 posts)They can decide whether to use it as it, modify it or turn it into a TV ad.
There's no harm in trying. They are always asking for ideas.

(17,199 posts)But I think, to make the same point as the meme, Hillary should do a video like the one done by the NYT:

(7,004 posts)Those people don't know how ignorant they are. You would think most people who came out for a rally would run away seeing this kind of behavior. I doubt his wife or daughter could stand being in a room with those crazies.

(12,816 posts)Most Americans haven't been to rallies, period.
So all these other Americans -- Trump supporters, Hillary supporters, undecideds -- are getting their news and/or impressions and/or "other information" from the mainstream media and pundits, which filter both campaigns through very different lenses.
So a lot of Trump supporters probably think the complaints of bigotry are just hyperbole proffered by whiny liberals and the "liberal media."
And a lot of undecideds are being "informed" about Hillary's emails and coughing fits, but not much else.
It's why Hillary can't shake the "untrustworthy" label -- because voters aren't being told much about her policies, positions, and accomplishments -- and Trump doesn't lose the "strong and decisive" label -- because, ironically, voters aren't being told much about HIS policies, positions, and "accomplishments" either!
Unless the media report fairly and honestly and consistently about both candidates, the skew will, unfortunately, continue.

(17,199 posts)But I don't think the rest get their news from the MSM. I think most get their news and impressions from SOCIAL media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and the Fox propaganda network.

(7,004 posts)I donated and get email with my name and address so I can't send my link. If you go there, you can find a place for suggestions. Or, if you donate even as little as $5, you'll get an email with a link asking for ideas.

Birther-in-Chief Donald Trump appears to be laboring under the idea that it's a really good idea to defend his base against Hillary Clinton's claim that they fall into a "basket of deplorables."
This, from the man who led the birther movement into the GOP nomination, lifted up by neonazis, white supremacists, and people cheering for a full ban of an entire religion in this country. You go, Donald.
"The disdain that Hillary Clinton expressed towards millions of decent Americans disqualifies her from public service," he said, reading from a teleprompter. "You cannot run for president if you have such contempt in your heart for the American voter. And she does."
Trump continued, "Hillary Clinton still hasn't apologized to those she slanders. In fact, she hasn't backed down at all. She's doubled down on her campaign conspiracy and contempt. If Hillary Clinton will not retract her comments in full, I don't see how she can credibly campaign any further."
This, from the guy who does a call and response at his rallies to "Build the wall!" and "Lock her up!" I don't know, what would you call these folks, if not deplorable?
