DAVID DUKE WARNS IF HILLARY IS ELECTED BLACK MEN WILL RISE UP, KIDNAP WHITE WOMEN FROM WALMART AND RAPE THEMShannon Argueta
September 12, 2016
Welp, Donald Trumps favorite white supremacist is in the news again and this time he is warning America about the possibility of white genocide and lots of Walmart kidnappings if Hillary Clinton is elected.
On the September 7, 2016 episode of his radio show, David Duke and co-host Jay Hess talked about all the scary black people who are killing innocent white people in America and apparently Hillary Clinton is the architect of white genocide. According to Hess, Hillary represents the forces of white genocide and is definitely a traitor to her people who doesnt care if white people are outbred.

REPUBLICAN VP CANDIDATE MIKE PENCE DECLINES TO CALL DAVID DUKE "DEPLORABLE"
Matthew Nussbaum
September 12, 2016
Mike Pence declined to call former Klu Klux Klan leader David Duke deplorable in an interview on Monday, telling CNNs Wolf Blitzer that hes not in the name-calling business.
The Republican vice-presidential nominee was criticizing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for saying half of Donald Trumps supporters belonged in a basket of deplorables when Blitzer noted that the campaign has attracted some support from white nationalists, including Duke.

(17,199 posts)He's gotten away with racist remark after racist remark, and instead of being shamed he's been rewarded with the nomination of one of the two major parties. That sends a signal to all the closet racists that it's safe to come out now; there's no price to pay.

(3,635 posts)because it forces Trump and his supporters into a bind, where if they fail to denounce deplorables like Duke they lose moderates, if they do denounce him they lose their base.
I hope H/Dems start bringing more of this alt-right (who say/write crazy things about this election every day, they are Trump's base, after all) stuff out into the mainstream media, just for this reason.

(17,199 posts)As you said, Hillary's calling out Trump's racist supporters as deplorable "forces Trump and his supporters into a bind ..."
But look what happened tonight. Pence was forced into that bind. He chose not to denounce Duke, and there was NO consequence. The moderate voters Trump might lose won't be impacted because few probably know about the incident as the MSM hardly covered the story.

(3,635 posts)Was it in response to the recent inflammatory Duke comments (about H being a race traitor, etc), or just general questions about Duke?
I think if H's campaign put tougher surrogates (like a James Carville, or Howard Dean) in the media, and had them keep raising specific/recent sensational alt-right comments (not just a generalized thing, like do you denounce the KKK, etc), and forcing Trump/Pence to denounce them one by one - it would trap them and constantly force them to talk about it, even if it wasn't always breaking news, i.e. 'death by a thousand cuts', would drive moderates away.
Her campaign and Dems simply need to get sharper and tougher, to drive the media narrative and give the media what it wants (which is sensational headlines), thus playing them against themselves.

(17,199 posts)Pence appears to be playing dumb: "I'm not sure why the media keep dropping David Duke's name."
That sounds like just what Trump did months ago when he was asked about David Duke. He said he didn't know who David Duke was (despite having talked about David Duke back in 1999 when he, Trump, was considering running for the Reform Party nomination).
