Trump slated to discuss his health on The Dr Oz Show

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will discuss his health on Thursday in a television appearance with Dr Oz, a popular physician who has been shown to endorse medical treatments that have not been proven effective by evidence-based science.

Mehmet Oz shot to fame after appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show, but has lost luster in the medical community through the seven seasons he has hosted his eponymous television show.

In 2014, Congress questioned Oz about weight-loss product fraud. Responding to questioning, he said some of the products he promotes on his show do not have “scientific muster to present as fact”.

In 2013, the head of Sony Pictures Television, which syndicates Oz’s show, wrote that Oz was “full of s--t”. (In the same email, Steve Mosko also wrote that Oz was “smart as hell”).

Last year, 10 prominent physicians wrote to the Columbia University medical school dean asking him to fire Oz, a faculty member. “Dr Oz is guilty of either outrageous conflicts of interest or flawed judgments about what constitutes appropriate medical treatments, or both,” the doctors wrote.

Apologies in advance. It's spelled "deceive". Just remember the rule: "I" before "E" except "C"

What's to keep him from hiring some healthy 25-year-old to donate some vials of blood and putting his name on them? If there's no chain of custody from reputable professionals I won't be convinced of the results. Not that I'd have voted for him except under torture, but still.
