The new breaking story is Hillary doesn't like to drink water

Hence the dehydration. I imagine she doesn't want to have to go pee everywhere she goes. And I know first hand what age can do to a bladder. This is what happens when the media and the public requires the outward appearance of superhuman health from our candidates. Except for Ronnie of course. They would have smiled and made coo-ing noises if he wet his pants.

When they told her to drink water.

But yeah, I see your point. It feels like a double standard. We have never demanded perfect health from male candidates.

As crazy as this probably sounds, since the incident yesterday I have been feeling a little guilty about supporting Obama over Hillary in 2008. If she had won in 2008 she would have been 8 years younger and less likely to have these issues, and now we'd have Obama as a still relatively young candidate in contrast to their crazy septuagenarian who's not quite with it.

He rode an open-top car fives hours in the cold New York rain (back when NY was competitive) to prove his vigor.

truth in that could have been.
Take care.

My mom is 91. Today I found out she has pneumonia--from broken ribs from a fall. It has been a battle over the years to get her to drink water. Now this. But I had to chuck--she said Hillary has pneumonia also. I had to laugh. Yes, she is a Hillary fan.

I now force myself after couple of incidents with dehydration. Plus I am on weight watchers and you lose more when you drink.

Unless I'm dying of thirst, it's hard for me to get a lot of liquid down, water or otherwise. I'm a sipper. My father is the same, and we're having trouble getting him to drink enough water (he'll turn 100 in a few months, so he needs it, especially as he still exercises).

I keep promising to try to train myself to drink a certain amount of water every day, but I never succeed. Maybe tomorrow.

He always wanted to have a diet soda when he was hot and thirsty, not water, and as he got older I began scolding him more for doing this.

Antibiotics were making her nauseous, so she stopped drinking. I think being a human being works in Hillary's favor.

than water, and you don't have to drink as much, thus have to pee less.

I agree, it is ridiculous to expect superhuman-ess out of candidates, especially since most people who run for president are on the older side. Even young and athletic people get sick, faint, etc all the time.

This 'Hillary healtherism' obsession is clearly a sexist attack, ie the right wing and the media is trying to play to the stereotype of women (especially older women) being physically tender, weak and frail. When lots of male candidates throughout history have had far more severe health issues.

The problem with her campaign/Dems is that they are failing to confront the underlying sentiments of these attacks. If they did, they would force the attacks to backfire on the right/media, make them look sexist/anti-Dem/anti-Clinton, which they are.
