(3,335 posts)The Trump children cannot possibly take control of the Trump Org if he were to win, and not be in constant contact with him regarding all those major players he is up to his neck in debt with. The Business would have to be placed in a Blind Trust to ensure that Trump didn't have his hands in the day to day operations. Despite all of the Trump children having the title of VP after their names, we all know that Donald Trump is the ENTIRE Organization. The Children are just glorified gophers or assistants. When the press have visited Trump Towers, they all say the same thing; not only is there no evidence of an active political campaign; there is no evidence of an active corporate run business structure of any kind there, for a supposed multi billion dollar construction entity.
Trump Org exists in name only. Trump doesn't build anything anymore; he licenses his Brand Name to outsiders who ARE builders in exchange for a licensing fee and a cut of the profits. He has no control over those projects, otherwise. That information came out in that 2 hour documentary on CNN a few weeks ago. His only other big project recently, of which he controled, (assuming that he controls it) was that golf course in Scotland, and he probably doesn't really own that outright, since the documentary said that after his bankruptcies no one would lend to him, which is why he got into the Branding business in the first place. And because the Branding portion of the business was so profitable with no risk of his own money or assets, he stuck with it. According to the documentary he still owned some vacant land in New York but, he essentially was no longer in the construction business.

(60,346 posts)Only Hillary has the guts to do that.
If he does not respond by the debates, Hillary should use any free time to ask these questions.

(34,845 posts)Is there a real Meredith McIver who works for your campaign? I don't mean someone in the world named Meredith McIver. There are plenty of people in the world with the same name as mine.
I mean the 'Meredith McIver' who makes mistake after mistake yet is never seen and whose social media presence was created only hours after questions were raised about her.
This is the single most important question to me. Because I seriously doubt this 'Meredith McIver' is a real person and that Trump made her up just as he did his other aliases.

(43,311 posts)any business ties they had were secondary. With Trump there is no
secondary, it's Trump first and foremost and always.
Way to go, HRC! Set the table, America deserves answers from Trump.

(13,776 posts)It really is, IMHO. The answers don't really matter because they'd be bullshite--it's the questions that matter. For whatever reason, most of the media haven't been interested in asking these, so by being incorporated into something that campaign reporters will report, they're getting out there.

Finally someone with the brains and wealth of experience is telling them to get back from their comfy conspiracy as and get back to work!

(3,283 posts)Hillary hold Trump's feet to the fire on a few of these questions in a debate. I'm reminded of one of Jed Bartlett's finest moments in The West Wing, when he attacked Gov. Ritchie about his 10-word answer:

(22,672 posts)We need to sway them still. They have not united completely with the democratic platform. 15% say they're voting for Stein. That's a lot of lost votes to a third party candidate. Imagine the supermajority the dems could have if half of those voters united behind the democratic platform!! It would be a super landslide and the downballot candidates would be able to push for progressive values for 2 years and 2 years more if we could get that block to vote again.
We need to stress unity behind a common HRC/Bernie message.

(3,257 posts)It seems that the whole campaign has devolved into talking about Trump. In my opinion its time for some bold action. Even the "liberal" news sites have daily headlined Trump for months. I'm sick of hearing Trump, Trump , Trump. I'm sure she is capable of it but it seems that her campaign staff decided that playing it safe was the way to go.

(3,275 posts)I wish that moderators would ask questions like this. I watched all of the many republican debates. I'm looking forward to seeing Trump go up against one highly intelligent, really experienced person. I hope she completely destroys him all three times. The Tim Kaine vs Mike Pence debate should be fun as well.
