So did R$ lower the bar on what is acceptable behavior for presidential candidates?

1. Is having experience running a company that buys other companies, squeezes every last cent of net worth from them, then liquidates them now acceptable job experience for presidential candidates?
2. Is it now acceptable for presidential candidates to use foreign bank accounts as tax shelters?
3. Is it now acceptable for a presidential candidate to submit one years partial tax returns to demonstrate that they are upholding their financial obligations to their country?
4. Is it now acceptable to lie your face off and pander to gain votes?

If he did anything illegal, like ooooh, lying on federal disclosure statements, I hope he gets called on it.

this is how the bar gets lowered for everyone. People see a$$hats like R$ lying in the most public way, so they figure that this is the way to do things. And it becomes less onerous because hey, the presidential candidates do it.

I suspect the bar would have been lowered had Rmoney won, using those tactics. Whether their side will try the same sort of thing again after it failed them so badly this time is a good question. Unfortunately I don't have much faith in their side to behave sanely or rationally....
