but this headline isn't exactly flattering for Trump either.
Also, it's not good headline for appealing to moderate/sane people and those fringe elements, who still don't believe it, won't like it as well. Trump's tactic on these crazy theories and insinuations is that he leaves himself enough wiggle room to appeal to moderates while winking at the lunatics by not being definite in his statements.

This is Trump trying to have it both ways again. His capaign releases a statement, but he won't say it because he knows he still has millions of racist bothers behind him. The media needs to pin him down in this and then ask him what has changed, because he was certainly talking about birtherism in the primaries.
