Eisenhower having moved an army from the coast of France to Berlin knew the importance of good raods and initiated our interstate highway system. He understood the importance of investing in infrastructure. Something that today's damn Republicans don't get. They want to privatize everything that isn't nailed down, except the war machine.

* He Sponsored and Signed the Civil Rights Bill of 1957. Although Congress greatly weakened it.

* He Balanced the Budget, Not Just Once, But Three Times. All without cutting taxes or raising defense spending.

* He ended the Korean War. That alone get a gold star and salute from me!

* He Kept America at Peace.
