What upsets me more than anything about this race ...

is that the polls are so close.

Trump is a major asshole and I could not care less about him.

But I do care that there are so many people supporting him.

WHY?

Despite what the polls say, I believe Hillary will win the presidency.

What really bothers me is that there is still an unacceptably large number of people who will vote for Trump.

Past election outcomes did not deeply disturb me this way; Romney and McCain, and the Bushes, were within small margins of their opponents. I chalked it up to differences in conservative vs. progressive ideology.

But Trump is clearly a despicably racist mysogynist egotistical manipulative person. Many prominent Republicans do not want to have anything to do with him. Yet polls indicate that he has tremendous support, and this time, it's not all about ideology. It's something much more insidious.

These are people who watch dancing with the stars. They don't know the difference between right and left and they don't see any harm in the guy. They just see somebody that will "shake things up" a little.

It's a very dangerous situation.
