Blaming Hillary for birtherism is smarter than we realized. Don't fall for it.

By blaming Hillary, he might sound ridiculous, but he is probably banking on dredging up some of the wounds some of Obama's 2008 supporters felt during the 2008 primaries to dampen our support for her. He's trying to weaken the impact of the president's kick ass speech on Wednesday and the kickass speech Michelle is giving right now. He wants to dredge up all the racially charged controversies from the 2008 primaries to dampen black voters' (and others') enthusiasm for Hillary. Please, don't fall for it. Don't get dragged into refighting the 2008 primaries. Don't let them suck us in.

Talk about a very unserious assertion. "I'm a Barack Obama supporter, but because Donald Trump lied about something Hillary Clinton did 8 years ago, I'm voting for Trump now?"

But I just caught the end of a surrogate for Trump, telling a story about some low level volunteer for the Hillary campaign started it in Iowa back in 2008.

Sounded desperate to me, but for their low information voters that is all they need, a thread of hope to hang on to for hates sake.
