What an Opportunity-----Dick Lugar

A ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee---and the Republicans/Tea Party throw him under the bus. He went on to help the Democratic Senate candidate. My vote is for Dick Lugar and so many like him who have been long in service to the country, maybe not the apple of eye in positions, but decent humans with a civil approach to politics. Let's hear a call for Lugar.

I would consider Lugar, Hagel, or Hunstman. All three strike me as decent old-school sane republicans.

If Hillary steps down, Lugar may make a decent Secretary of State, though he's pretty old. He does have a pretty good working relationship with Obama.

He was silent on the whole thing once Mourdock ousted him in the primary.

Just because they aren't all as batshit crazy at teabaggers is no reason to reward them. They would all have sided with teabaggers in any fight with President Obama.

I will never understand the urge some Democrats seem to have to romanticize Republicans like Lugar, Huntsman, Christie, etc....who would never, ever return the favor in a million years. In fact, Huntsman already has been part of the Obama administration, but that didn't stop him from sounding just like any other Republican running against President Obama.

Screw 'em all.
