Do you do door knocks on Republicans?

Here in WI we only do OUR voters. From our VAN lists. Any other election I rebelled against this. But, this election our opponent's supporters do not operate in a land of reality, real reality. The BBC interviewed a Trump supporter in Pennsylvania who said of Hillary “A truthful word has never come out of her mouth”. Really? She lies all the time? Where do you get that idea? No don’t tell me, I already know. You think she lies all the time and yet you’ll vote for Trump.

At this point, convincing a member of the Republican base that any Democrat is anything other that a criminal come to oppress them is like convince an Orthodox Jew to enjoy a BLT. As the saying goes, you can’t use logic to talk someone out of a position that they didn’t use logic to arrive at. And there’s no logic involved in the Republican base. They just believe what they want to believe and work backward from there. As I said I live in Wisconsin.

Some are registered Dems for years but really have morphed into GOP types...they can be nasty. One threatened to sick his dog on me in 12, I calmly told him, it would be a shame to kill such a handsome animal and walked back to the car where my daughter waited...one waited in the car and one knocked on the door. This year I am in town ...not in the boonies so it has been easier. I live in Ohio.

Or thinking about it. Print out your favorite document addressing Hillary myths and hand it to those who seem to be on the fence or near that. There are too many to handle by talking with people at a door knock.

canvass Republicans because 1) you won't be able to turn them; and 2) you've reminded a Republican that there's an election coming up.
