(44,173 posts)For every white male construction worker Trump gains he seems to lose a white male middle manager.

(3,425 posts)There were some pretty awful middle managers out there but you are right, most of them would not support the orange monstrosity that is Trump.

(6,852 posts)Colvin (a police district commander) felt sorry middle management in the drug trade "middle management means you have just enough authoritiy so people have to listen to what I say but not enough that you can tell anybody tongs full themselves"
I imagine it can be similar in the business world

(1,798 posts)It trends to turn out.
Hopefully hispanics turn out. 2012 only seen 48%? of their electorate turn out...If there was ever a time for them to match the 64% turn out of the black electorate this would be it.

(3,635 posts)but they're just not as vocal or covered by the media.
I've heard several reports about latinos and immigrants who never voted before registering primarily to vote against trump.
Trump is the birther-in-chief who led the witchhunt against the first black president, and black voters will turnout in force imo.
Women detest Trump, I'd expect even moderate Repub women to vote for Hillary. If she can win white women (which Romney won iirc by a few points) game over, as they're an important demographic especially in swing states.
Young people i think will 'come home' eventually, once they realize how dangerous Trump (and Pence, who is just as scary, just in a different way) are to their future.
The key to all of this is Hillary and Obama rallying these groups, which are essentially the base of the party, and they have the perfect villains in Trump/Pence to do it.

(10,908 posts)per Reuters http://elections.reuters.com/#poll (but it has long disappeared). Interesting married white females gave Romney a 24% margin while unmarried white female voted for Obama by a 5% margin
Anyway, it will sure help a lot if that 13% margin just went to 0%.
Oh -- this also has the white female vote overall: 56% to 42% in favor of Romney (a 14% margin). White men voted for Romney by a 27% margin

(3,635 posts)I find it amazing that white women could vote for a party that is so rabidly anti-woman, just goes to show that misogyny comes not just from men, but from women also.

(11,949 posts)Enough of them can never see needing help in life from the government. And of course they have had good family planning their entire lives and were able to perfectly plan their 1.8 children. The thought that someone might not be so lucky does not pass their mind.
And if it does they assume the are black women and they deserve what the get.
Disgusting.

(365 posts)For the GOP...there are not many more to find. and why are White men so angry anyway? I am white and see nothing to be angry about. That is just me though.

(89,250 posts)or Romney so some are thinking the ones who didn't vote when they were the nominee will vote now that they have someone they want as nominee.
the problem with that is that many of these types were so angry over a black man becoming president that they voted for mccain and romney even if they did not like them but just to stop obama .
GulfCoast66
(11,949 posts)I very angry about other angry white men who are stupid enough to vote for Trump.
All I can say is that I will cancel out one of their votes. But I have convinced a few friends and family to vote for Hillary.

(1,214 posts)I'm also angry about the flames of violence that Trump and his supporters, in my opinion, are fanning vigorously. They appear to want violence! That's worth getting angry about.

(865 posts)early voting numbers in NC? At one point, she was giving very general info with bar chart on democrats vs repubs vs two other categories (that I didnt catch). When ch makes sense, b/c I dont think they can release (dont think media even gets) the per candidate stuff. (And the numbers she reported may have been on all races, not just presidential. Not sure.)
Well, while she was covering generalities of who voted early in NC, I missed a minute or so and then, when I started to follow her again, she was talking about twhat this thread is on. So I am just not sure.
