I thought once the convention was over it would be D-day and they would rain bombs down upon him non-stop, as there is so much out there (much of it weird, like the John Miller thing) on him that (unlike with the Clintons/Hillary) the public doesn't know much about.

If they did that I think he'd be down by double digits by now.

Just don't know what they're waiting on.

In some ways Dems/H are making the same mistake the GOP made, in waiting too long to unload, and they (Dems/H) specifically said they wouldn't make that mistake.

It is frustrating, and reminds me (in some ways, there are major differences of course) of the 2000 and 2004 campaigns.

I have seen several of them online.

The problem is alot of people ignore ads.

Ads alone are not what I'm talking about, but more of a coordinated effort, between the campaign and surrogates, to control the media narratives and the national discussion for days or even weeks so it becomes accepted truth, the way the right wing pumped the email server, benghazi etc which are fake scandals that most of the public (sadly) views as real.

The highest amount of viewers so far this week was NCIS with 15 million watching live. Football maybe higher but even viewership is down this year and not close to the numbers of the voting public. However, many do see the commercials on line but not sure of the numbers.

Have there been any? I'm in NY and I don't see ads. And to those who say people don't watch ads, those spots would generate coverage. Willing to admit I'm wrong if those ads have come and gone unnoticed, but, if not, what the hell are they waiting for?

He has proven to be impervious to his countless self-inflicted injuries, any one of which would have sunk any other candidate. The problem is that since his brand is being an asshole, his disgusting statements and actions only reinforce his image.

Alot rolls off of him like Teflon, as you said, things that reinforce his toughguy/jerk/hustler image.

But weird things in his past (and there are many) that show what a psycho he is, contradict this image, showing him to be insecure, cowardly, vein and petty.

I would also make his racist birtherism crusade a central focus of this campaign. Force Trump to run against Obama, a popular sitting president. It's a fight Trump won't win, and it helps to reassemble the Obama coalition.

which particular attack would work the best but.....

Trump as we know is easily thrown off base or otherwise known as distracted easily. Whatever Clinton does to throw him off, the real deal-closer in my nook will be how she keeps him off-balance thereafter. What I mean is that with a moronic clown like Trump, it's the 2nd, 3rd and 4th hit that Hillary pitches his way, to then keep him off-topic, that will truly seal the deal as him being unfit for the office.

"The debate format was clearly rigged against him."

"That moderator was obviously a plant. How did Crooked Hillary get to him?"

"Tens of thousands of people have shaken my hand and said I won this debate."

"NBC is a station that's losing millions of viewers every day."

"I don't pay attention to score-keepers. I clearly won in a very, very big way. Did you see when I sneered at her? You can't say that wasn't a Presidential-level sneer."

But yeah, he is easily distracted. Subtlety works best because his little mind then works overtime trying to figure out whether he's been insulted or not, and if people in the audience are laughing at him.
