Newest absentee, registration numbers promising for Clinton

Newest absentee, registration numbers promising for Clinton
By Marshall Cohen, CNN Updated 6:26 AM ET, Fri September 23, 2016

Early numbers from Iowa and North Carolina, where voters are already casting absentee ballots, look promising for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

And Democrats have also improved their position on the voter rolls in Colorado and Florida, outpacing Republicans in the past month, according to a CNN analysis of newly released statistics.

The breathless declarations that "everything is new this year!" (because Trump's operation has no idea how to execute an actual political strategy) is so much hot air, hype and nonsense like a Silicon Valley start-up. The world has not changed. Politics is still about pushing out ads and pounding the pavement and getting your people to the polls. It's about precincts and precinct captains and calling and registering and driving folks to the polls. Trumpism is a mirage. He's failing badly.

Imagine if Clinton was down 6, 7 in every credible national poll right now!

The truth is that she's kicking his ass.

Even when the race was relatively close, the polls clearly showed Hillary would still win.

Furthermore, could you imagine the freaking out if the news were that Hillary wasn't really mounting a ground game and was barely running ads? Many would all have given up. Only the delusional folks on the Right don't see the writing on the wall now.

but the only enthusiasm gap I see is NOBODY I know - Dems, Reps, Indies, is voting for don the con. Or they wont admit it. People that know they wont be around on election day (including my mom - a HUGE Clinton fan who will be in SE Asia) have already sent in their ballots.

A few guys I grew up with in NY (white, working class area of Queens) are Trump supporters, but that's about it.

Not only do I see no Trump supporters, practically everyone I know actively despises him. Self selecting, sure, but still. Just teeth-gritting disdain for the man.

neighborhoods in Queens (and the whole of Staten Island) have don the con fans. White working class who live their lives in fear of multiculturalism and HATE (with the heat of 100 suns) both Barack AND Michelle Obama (how can anyone hate Michelle?????). But I just know ABOUT these people, I don't know them. All the ones I know are the same as your experience - they know him for the slimy con man he is. So you live in Chicago and are still a Mets fan? Very cool (my sister's dog's name is Shea).
