Related: About this forumTed Cruz Just Another RNC Operative Playing His Designated Role
We see it every election: the well-known, very concerned Republican pol/operative who has "questions" about a R candidate, only to be miraculously "won over" by said R because "they've shown me that they're the best person for the job."
Earlier in this cycle, it was Hugh Hewitt who was all over the networks denouncing the evil that was Trump. But miracle of miracles, Hewitt had a change of heart right around the time of the conventions. He is now a full-blown Trump supporter and a major "reimagineer" of the facts that made him anti-Trump not that long ago.
And now, we have "Lyin' Ted," the guy that got up at the RNC and told Rs to vote their conscience, ie: to NOT vote for Trump. Is anyone surprised that he has also suddenly seen the light?
Perhaps we would be surprised if we hadn't seen this ploy before.
But then, we have seen this ploy before, haven't we? We've seen it every damn election for the past 30 years.
The Rs. They need new ploys.
