On Debate Fact Checking

I may be alone in this, but even though it would be nice if the debate moderator would call out candidates on their lies, it is ultimately the opponent's job to call out the candidate on lies. I remember Dubya and Gore debating in 2000, watching Dubya lying about something and getting away with it. My first reaction was: how could Gore let him get away with that?

Reference specific reports that prove the lie and say she's sure the pundits will break it down for the public after.
Should not be her duty to clean up his messes.
He grabs headlines every single time she has a strong speech. Creating chaos is his mo.

I'm going to use my 2 minutes to tell 10 lies.

You're going to use up your 2 minutes to refute 7 of them.

I win: You never got to make your case, and 3 of my lies went unaddressed.

The lie gets halfway around the world before the truth get its pants on.
