If you are not yet boycotting the Oregonian, now would be a good time to do so, and Save Trees too!
Not only is fixing elections a "MISHAP" but, they advise, don't let that be a reason to criticize the wing-nut in charge of County Elections, just don't vote for her next time. Meanwhile, the petition for her resignation gains more signatures, twice the expected number already.
Clackamas election mishap leaves cracks in the public's confidence

It is true that on Hall's watch a part-time elections worker went rogue last week. The ballot-handler apparently filled in a small but indeterminate number of incomplete ballots along Republican lines, affecting the count in some way. But the Oregon Department of Justice will figure out why the worker did what she did and how it affected the count and announce its findings soon enough.
... state Rep. Dave Hunt complained that Hall's exclusion of Democratic observers from late-ballot processing for a legislative race narrowly won by Republican Bill Kennemer left him less than fully confident in the outcome. ...
... sentiment is clear. If Hall, who is paid nearly $90,000 a year, should choose to seek re-election in two years, the vote should be no.

(50,950 posts)Why is she paid $90,000 a year? Seems high. Unless there are circumstances to warrant it I would think somewhere in the range of $40k to $60k is the appropriate range for a salary.
Why isn't it mandatory by law that both Democrats and Republicans are being selected for the processing?
