2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary is going to crush Trump in tonight's debate and then crush him in the election too.
HRC has been waiting her whole life for a chance like she is going to get tonight.
Please remember that she finished among the top her classes as an under-grade
and then again @ Yale Law School, "they" have been after her and Bill for 30 years
with all kinds of made up crap and still she has kept right on going, she is a skilled
lawyer who unlike Trump thinks before she speaks, and she has been getting ready
for this debate for months now. Trump is gonna be road kill and no spin or media
fluff is going to change that although to some of Trump's hard core racist supporters
they will still support him no matter what he says or does.
Now we all have to keep working but please remember that after 2012 the GOP
did a post election study and they found that they would have to get more support
from hispanics, african americans, and women to ever have a chance in a national
election again and Trump is not popular at all w/those groups and add in that Pence is
toxic to the GLBT community and the #s to win a national election will be very very
hard for Trump and Pence to reach.
Hillary's Hob Nailed Boots for tonight's ass kicking

(49,033 posts)The media and Republicans (esp. Karl Rove) worked hard to polarize the electorate.
Thus, with a highly polarized electorate, it is not surprising that the race seems close and may be close.
The take-aways:
1) Don't take the race for granted.
2) The flip side is: Be of good cheer, recognize the opportunity here, make progress forward.
3) Ask leaners: "Will you be the last to leave the Trump camp?" It's how you use take-way #2 to create a bandwagon effect and get deeper into the facts versus perceptions with persuadable voters. (Deplorables are lost causes.)
4) Aim to crush Trump so that going forward in 2020 and beyond there is no Trump 2.0, no Trump Jr., no Ivanka, no alt-Trump, no Siberian / Manchurian candidates, no Dominionist Pencetrators, no Nehemiah Scudder.
5) Aim to crush the Republicans to win the State Legislatures, the House, the Senate and thus the SCotUS.
