2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAlright, here's what's going to happen and this is why there's no need to freak out.
I cannot say what will happen during. Gotta admit, that's what's so exciting about this. Trump isn't up there with a bunch of other Republicans, he's up there with the real adversary, Hillary. Will he change his strategy? Will he be the blowhard we all know and loathe? Who knows?
But here's why there's no reason to freak out about the post results. Providing that nothing CRAZY happens, the media will be full of mixed opinions. There will be media on both sides proclaiming "WINNER!" There's no true winner until November so, just BREATHE my fellow Dems.
BREATHE! It's the first debate, all will be the same tomorrow.

(4,151 posts)He stayed so calm and cool all through both his campaigns, and HRC has really done the same.
When HRC has been pushed or treated badly (think of the ludicrous clown show of the "Benghazi Congressional Panel" with that little shit, Trey Gowdy) she has NEVER failed to not only perform but to do so brilliantly. It seems she is often not given the credit she deserves.

(10,345 posts)Hello friend!
Yes, I'm really hoping he does something that really stones him.
I was reading around, and one opinion is that all he needs to do is give Hillary an opening that allows her to be genuinely funny. If she pulls off any type of move that can tactfully humiliate him without making her seem unnecessarily cruel, then she wins automatically.

(10,345 posts)We'll be appauled for sure, but in 2016 America, he's point blank said worse things and gone higher in the polls.
Him being an ass is likely expected, she needs to humiliate him. That won't be expected.
I think the general public is expecting her to do the old fashioned politcal thing while Trump walks all over the stage doing whatever the fuck he wants. She'll maintain a professional posture which smart people will appreciate but the general populace will find "weak" for some stupid ass reason.
Again, she's got to shame that bastard.
