Even if Trump shows up for the next two debates - it doesn't matter.

No way the next two debates have the audience this debate had and as my grandma used to say - you can't unring a bell.

Trump supporters will not change because to this debate, neither will Sec. Clinton's supporters. But independents saw a man that was out of control talking gibberish. That image will stick in their minds from now to Election Day.

Unless there's something devastatingly bad in the next two, this was Donald's best shot to surge ahead.

He didn't get it.

Unlike four years ago, when Obama's poor first debate allowed Romney back into it (similar to '04).

"Please continue, governor," moment like Obama did to Mitt, where you could see the dawning realization in Romney's eyes that Obama was letting him dig his own grave, but I don't think Donald has the capacity to realize when he's wrong or the intelligence to understand how something he's saying could be viewed negatively. I think that's the reason why Hillary was silent a lot of times - letting Trump ramble like a madman is going to make good ads.
