Except in the movie, Queeg seems to come to himself at the end of his speech, and try to cover up his detour into unreality. Trump never did.

(778 posts)This article is great, but Hillary's win would have been even more decisive if Lester Holt had not gone M.I.A. for the second half of the debate. He was reasonably engaged throughout his questions on race relations and the birther movement, but the global policy discussion was a free-for-all that badly needed supervision. Brian Williams must be gnashing his teeth.

(7,004 posts)I suspect that a healthy portion of Trumps basket of deplorables opted for re-runs of Duck Dynasty rather than risk witnessing the spectacle of their candidate being chick-filleted."
I don't agree that he won on the Trade issue. He was only attacking Hillary with it, trying to hold her responsible for everything for the last 30 years. She was not POTUS.

(1,415 posts)Trump knows only a sentence on each issue except trade and immigration, where he knows two sentences. Hillary needs better talking point on trade...like it was Bush who negotiated NAFTA, not her husband.

(7,004 posts)At any rate, she had no power at the time, only her opinions. I believe President Clinton was forced into many compromises in exchange for help getting other things passed in the puke controlled congress.
At the time she had to make a decision between speaking her mind possibly against Bill or holding her tongue. Most important decisions are not black and white.
