The good news for us: The next debate is only a week and a half away.

With Hillary's competent, solid showing and Trump being erratic and completely over his head, I predict at least a 5 percentage point bump for Hillary, and that's a (small c) conservative prediction.

Over the next week and a half, Trump's going to have to scramble. He'll either have to do what he refused to do the first time and (gasp!) prepare for the debate, or he'll be stubborn and double down and wing it once again. And we all know how Trump loves to double down.

Or he could make noise and pull out of the second debate all together. And that certainly won't help him either.

Currently, he's forced to play catch up after his dismal showing. That's not the position of strength. And Hillary's not going to let off the gas either. She'll be prepared with additional ammo about things that weren't even raised yesterday, like the Trump foundation.

We've got him on the ropes, folks.

She could respond with. "You lecture a lot about morality for a guy with 5 kids from 3 different wives don't you?"

2. I think his only "good" option is to buckle down and study his ass off.

But I don't think he'll do that.

I predict his strategy will be to try to go as nasty and fight as dirty as humanly possible.

5. The problem is that the bar is even lower the next time (if that is possible!)

All that people will want for the next debate is that he stands still, doesn't sniffle, and only drinks a modest amount of water. Content will be very, very secondary. I think that even Donald can practice doing that in a week and a half. Perhaps a little less blow before the big event would also help. (I hear that injectables are longer lasting without the nasty nasal side effects.)
