Christie Whitman, former Governor from New Jersey, called it on Trump months ago.

As the primaries wrapped and it was clear Trump would be the nominee, Christie Whitman was interviewed on MSNBC. I think with Chris Hayes, but I'm not certain. The discussion was on transitioning to a general election mode.

Whitman made it very clear that wasn't going to happen. She said there might be moments when he might seem to get it together, but the man was not capable of changing. She discussed how during her term as governor that she had to deal with Trump and that she knew the kind of man he was. I think it was during the time he was building casinos.

She made it clear that he is an immature man with an inappropriate temperament. She said "This is who he is."

And that she would never vote for him.

So that invalidates what she had to say about Trump? If it doesn't, why bring it up here? . . nt Bernardo de La Paz Sep 2016 #8

She would know. Seems she was one of the more practical R's. Aside from that one district in Maine, I don't see any red states northeast of West Virginia.

I am beginning to think he really wants to lose and then whine for the rest of his life. He is a loser.

It's that they won't. There's none so blind at those who will not see and "those" are the Trumpanzees.

She has admitted that she was wrong, but you are right; She let the first responders down.
