Oh we know you can, DT. It isn't even a contest. You are the world champion in nastiness.
Can he hear himself? Apparently not.
ON EDIT: CNN has now posted an article headlined with the same sentence from the NYTimes interview. It's a keeper!
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/01/us/politics/donald-trump-interview-bill-hillary-clinton.html
He said he was bringing up Mr. Clintons infidelities because he thought they would repulse female voters and turn them away from the Clintons, and because he was eager to unsettle Mrs. Clinton in their next two debates and on the campaign trail.
Shes nasty, but I can be nastier than she ever can be, Mr. Trump said.

Trump on Clinton: 'I can be nastier than she ever can be'
Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is turning up the heat on his attacks against Hillary Clinton about her husband's past infidelities after a rocky week for his campaign.
"She's nasty," Trump told The New York Times in an interview published Friday night, "but I can be nastier than she ever can be."
The comments were part of a wide ranging interview in which Trump also touched upon his marriages, his recent late-night Twitter rant and his performance at the first presidential debate.

(15,262 posts)Hillary is a champion for progressive values, a great and caring woman focused on children and a better future, she is NOT nasty. She is a brilliant person who has no trouble dealing with a huge asshole, but that's not nastiness, that's just taking out the garbage.

(12,448 posts)Trump seems to think he's talking to his basket of deplorables when now the general electorate is paying attention. That audience won't be made up of only his toxic base. I can't wait until he lets loose on one of the audience members. His skin is so thin that I don't think he'll be able to stop himself if a question is perceived as challenging.

(783 posts)But even if you do more reasonable math with standard deviations you still have a chunk of people that are on the dumb side of average. Add to that the fact that they listen to Fox News or don't follow the news at all.
- - Plus, don't be fooled into assuming that people make decisions using rational thought processes; Usually people make decisions based primarily on emotional reactions and then use the thinking part of their brain to conjure up a justification after the fact, to rationalize the decision they made emotionally.
. . . So moving on to your question proper, What is wrong with people [Trump voters]?
. . . Clearly they are being motivated by emotions that are, to use your word, scary. Misogyny is a big motivator this time out. Racism and Xenophobia are up there. Fear in its myriad forms.
However, if you want to have some fun reading on the subject, check out the article at this link:

(5,813 posts)for his entire life. He has been calculating when to make a serious run and very likely thought (thinks) that he deserves it and will essentially be coronated on January 21st. I believe he really thinks he is going to bring about historic changes to the United States and enshrine his place in history.
The problem is that he feels thwarted in his efforts. He is finding out that this whole endeavor is difficult and hard work. In addition, the reality is not all of us love him and not enough of us will vote for him in order for him to win. His campaign people are telling him he is going to lose if he doesn't turn things around ASAP. He is running out of time to do this.
What we are witnessing is Trump flailing around desperately trying to get the polling back in his favor. He is having a narcissist's worst nightmare....he is being mocked, is dropping in the polls and was humiliated with his poor performance at debate #1. For the remainder of this campaign, I think we will see more of this outrageous behavior by Trump, all played out on the national ...yes, even international stage. It is historic...probably like nothing ever seen in this country. Our only hope is that the sane, rational people in the country will rise up to reject this deeply flawed, dangerous man. His supporters will hang in to the bitter end, but fortunately there are more of us than there are of them. Get out to vote like everything you hold dear is at stake...because it is!
