The Kaine-Pence Showdown Was One of the Lowest-Rated Vice-Presidential Debates Ever

In a weird way, this will probably make Donald Trump happy: Tuesday night’s vice-presidential debate was the third-lowest-rated in the 40-year history of such televised showdowns. Per Nielsen, fewer than one in four U.S. TV homes tuned in to watch Senator Tim Kaine conduct a real-time fact-check of Trump and his running mate, Governor Mike Pence. The 90-minute event averaged a 22.1 household rating, a number which translates into around 35.3 million viewers across the four major broadcast networks, as well as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel... I think this works to favor HRC's campaign. Let the ads spell out who actually won the debate, making them 2 - 0 against the Donald & Mike lie show.

Trump is the most despicable and unqualified candidate in the history of the Republic. No Vice President is going to rescue that.

I think Tim did exactly what he set out to do but all the media declared Pence the winner - slightly.

The news articles the rest of the day pretty much covered that Pence didn't defend Trump and he lied.
