Good lord.
Anna Navarro on CNN just said he should quit , among other things in her scorching ....
Republicans must disavow him, do not stand with him, Trump is unfit to be President, Trump unfit to be a man.....she scorched him.

(34,857 posts)Early voting has already begun in the following states:
California
Idaho
Indiana
Iowa
Minnesota
Montana
Nebraska
New Jersey
North Dakota
Ohio
South Dakota
Vermont
Wyoming
With a slew of other states about to begin early voting now too.
Beyond that, the filing deadline for the presidential election has already passed in every state. So, if Trump drops out, beyond emergency requests, which can be denied, his name could theoretically still show on the ballot. In a scenario like that, Pence would need to stay on the ticket, despite Trump already maybe unofficially dropping out, win, have Trump resign and then take the presidency.
Not going to happen. The GOP will sink with Trump.

(3,205 posts)...what are the chances tRump would resign and let Pence be president? That man's ego knows no bounds.
I think you're right Drunken Irishman, (are you related to my wife? lol) they're stuck with tRump. all they can do now is pour all their efforts into keeping the Senate and House.

(2,004 posts)The corrupt Ohio GOP got away with doing away with golden week and it was upheld in the courts. Thanks for the information!

(115,731 posts)and he also thinks he's winning. Even if he did quit, that wouldn't automatically give Pence the top of the ticket. He would have to be nominated by the RNC, and then he'd have to get on the ballots in all the states (along with a new running mate). It's too late for that to happen - the GOP is stuck with Trump unless he voluntarily quits, which won't happen.

(11,495 posts)But of Pence ever wants to run for president, he will have to denounce Trump and step down as VP. Even if Trump did quit, and they put Pence in to take his place, Pence has said, in the debate, that he and Trump are on the same page, and after lying about Trump NOT saying all the things he did say, Pence would not be able to win if he did take Trumps place, that and all the racists and scum that support Trump wouldn't vote if Trump dropped out, they would be to pissed off.
Just my two cents here.
