The electors are already chosen, by Trump, not the Republican Party. Coyotl Oct 2016 #16
Depends the state, but regardless, if Trump drops out, they can vote for Ivanka if they want Orangepeel Oct 2016 #21

Ryan endorsed Trump. Shit sticks. Also, impossible to replace Trump in many states. nt onehandle Oct 2016 #2
Besides, a lot of Trumpsters don't like GOP establishment types, especially Ryan and McConnell. nt tblue37 Oct 2016 #4

changing.

I guess they could choose Kasich, and Kasich can claim he never endorsed him, but I think it is too little too late

Republicans "can't" win this, period! If they replaced Trump does anyone thing that Trumps followers would just vote for his replacement? Not going to happen. They would see this as a plot by the GOP to take Trump down, and they wouldn't vote no matter who they put in Trumps place. Republicans are screwed, period.
