That's the one thing that might move him. But they'd have to give him a billion or two - in advance.
They'd put a condition on it that he'd have to allow it to be filmed, so it was showing he stepped down of his own accord.

Because that's the only way he can be replaced - if he voluntarily steps down. Or dies or otherwise incapacitated.

Outside of money - they've got nothing on him that would make him drop out - he's shameless and beyond embarrassment, and won't run again after this anyway.

If that happens - they'll try and get Pence to be the lamb - because even if they replace Trump, it's really too late to mobilize all of their people behind Pence. Many Trumpettes will not fall in line, and they don't have enough backers now. Won't be Ryan. Won't be Jeb. Both of them know better, at this point. And I think Pence would be the good soldier, especially if they put the bug in his ear that he could beat Hillary - that would be too tempting for him to pass up, I think.

As for where to get the $2 billion? A few phone calls to the Kochs, Adelsons, et al, and it would be there, waiting.
The sweet irony would be if they were able to somehow stiff him out of it afterward.

it shows they've figured out the loophole. Run someone in the primary who self-destructs then choose someone with a chance in the general. Ryan, Romney, Pence.

on Monday, I was thinking that 10th grade homeroom just got a lot more lively than it usually is. The kids will be yacking about how to say what they are not allowed to say in school but which Trump said out loud (and now on tape!).

More to the sad side of this story, how old is Trump's youngest child? He likely has to go into school Monday morning after the world has now heard his father speaking lewdly about women.

Ok, maybe not the 'openly disavowing' part. But opportunity is knocking for them now, out of necessity.

They can't push him over the cliff...but they might entice him to step off.

But then again, I doubted he would get this far, so who am I to know?

If the GOP tried to do this, they'd definitely lose the presidential election, and dropping him won't help them save downballot races, since the Trump voters would not vote for the 'establishment' if it steals the nom from their hero.
