What I don't get is...

... why Trump's lewd borderline criminal comments about women should finally get such a reaction when he's been saying similar things about the disabled, Latinos, etc., etc., for months. Where is our capacity for moral outrage? Are we Victorians and only sex warrants a reaction?

It has all been so utterly despicable that it's hard to keep up. I'm glad SOMETHING finally did him in...

Fraud - fine
Violations - fine
skirting the law - fine
not paying taxes - fine
Humiliating latinos, women, muslims, disabled, overweight people, <add any other category here> - fine
Stealing from charities and less fortunate - fine
Sex - What? what? When? How? Where? Tell me more.

David Farenthold and Kurt Eichenwald gave us so much. But the one that has caught on is this. Not that this is okay, but the others were terrible too.

During a fight, body blows can be the determining factor in a win. Since the first debate Trump has taken body blow after body blow and the GOP has watched not only his numbers decline but other Repubs who have attached themselves to his wagon.

At this point they aren't so much concerned about Trump losing but how his words and actions are effecting the down ticket races. This has the potential to be a knockout for the entire Republican Party.

Trump is polling worst ever among Latinos...probably because of what he's said about Latinos and immigrants. Haven't seen any polling on the disabled but I'd be willing to bet his polling is probably 0. The female thing is more mainstream because it doesn't just cover one race...but and entire gender regardless of race.

Many of us HAVE been outraged, of course. To me, it's just indicative of the absolute hate that the Republicans have for Hillary (and Bill) Clinton.

The evangelicals, the so called base, will support a Trump regardless of what he does because they hate the Clinton's. And they will be in church on Sunday patting one another on the back and reaffirming their belief that they are right because all the others like them feel the same way.

... by the imbalance between the indignation and disbelief people (GOP, talking heads, etc.) are displaying compared to their reaction to disabled, Latinos, poor, etc. I'm a woman and I, too, am indignant (though not surprised), but most of the women he insults by his egotistical idiocy are much less vulnerable than these other groups. I think the reaction should at least be equal. Not that we should back off now, but I wish we could re-write history.

This is, in part, I think, an indication of our society's unhealthy obsession with sex.
