I am not a wife or mother

I am an adult human being. I am mad as hell about the mealy-mouthed Republicans who seem to only be upset by Trump's remarks because they demean someone they see as only an adjunct to a male. I am mad that they feel they can get away by using what I see is diminishing language, as if half the human race has no independent identity.

(Disclaimer: I'm a woman, I've been married to a man for well over 40 years. I like to think I have some value as myself)

They're talking about how terrible it was that Trump insulted wives, mothers, daughters, etc. - the "property" of other men! What about the insults to women themselves, as individuals, not based on their relationship to men? It was like they were upset only because he was being disrespectful of their wimmenfolk. Fuck that.

2. My wife is a mother, but the person I married and with whom I conceived my sons...

...was, is and always be that first, a person, just as I am person despite being a husband and a father.

We raised our sons that way, and they are disgusted, absolutely disgusted that this horrible excuse for a human being has come even this far in consideration for the highest office in this country.

This is trivial by comparison, but NBC needs to fire that asshole Billy Bush. This cannot be allowed to stand even for a TV host, never mind a Presidential candidate.

during the course of this campaign it took this video to send Republicans to the panic room. It's not the first time they have heard racisim, ridicule, violence and mysgonistic comments ... he has been expressing all this for the past year and a half. And it took this video? Give me a break ... I'm disgusted

4. Hey Paul Ryan! Women are to be championed and revered? Bite me, asshole!

Does Paul Ryan think I give a rat's ass about whether he "reveres" me or not? Does Paul Ryan think I need his lying impotent ass to champion ME? Paul Ryan wouldn't last three hours in my life.

They are all making statements like this bullshit. It just shows how those clueless idiots ended up with the tiny-fingered molester as their candidate. He is just a more open version of themselves

Same here - I don't need any GOPer's lying ass to "champion" me! And I sure as heel don't want to be fucking revered.

I am a human being. I just want to be treated the same as any other human being - with respect and courtesy, the same as EVERY OTHER human being should be treated!

Their ideal woman carries a hanky to be blushingly bestowed on her champion in case a joust should suddenly break out.

And their ideal woman basks in their approval which is given to her either because she has an ass like Kim Kardashian or she reminds them of their mother.

But she doesn't do anything else.

So they can brag about ownership of the desirable "objects."

Jane Goodall had it right - Trump is like a great ape using dominance displays:

<SNIP>

“In many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals,” [Goodall] told me shortly before Trump won the GOP nomination. “In order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks. The more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position.”

In her book My Life With the Chimpanzees, Goodall told the story of “Mike,” a chimp who maintained his dominance by kicking a series of kerosene cans ahead of him as he moved down a road, creating confusion and noise that made his rivals flee and cower. She told me she would be thinking of Mike as she watched the upcoming debates.
