Ok, so in 2000, we were made to notice...

that we were asleep a bit, lulled by the unprecedented peace and prosperity that the Clinton Era afforded us. Gore was robbed, and anyone really paying attention knows it.

So then, 9-11 happens, and the GOP *took* the flag. Everything was all "you're either with us or against us" and WE lefties weren't REAL Americans. Then John Kerry's "unsuccessful" (I'm looking at YOU Ken Blackwell, you fucking pig) presidential bid took the flag back, and roundly.

In 2008, we fucking made history, and accomplished what the GOP only promised: Obama got ben Laden. Like it or not (and it's not for them) Obama's example is that WE are an US, and WE ARE DIVERSE (oh, how they fucking hate it and want it to go back to before)

In 2012, we reiterated: WE are an US, and we are STAYING an "US" too. Family values are helping each other in the real world that real Americans face, not just spiteful platitudes that don't solve anything.

But in 2016, as we stand, once again on the precipice of history, even if we don't make it, we laid bare their very last refuge: taxes. These motherfuckers have been taking money they didn't work for. They've been "gaining" without "working" and Joe Sixpack can't pretend he doesn't know it. Van Jones is spot on: you can't participate in the problem and the pretend you will solve it.

If you are conservative, you should not borrow against the homestead. If you are Christian, you should not substitute your judgement for the Lord's. The hypocrisy is LEGION, and now even the fiscal conservative argument holds no water.
