A word of sympathy to those who have been abused by serial gropers

like Donald Trump.

I know several women who have had this sort of experience, and every one of them was traumatized to some extent.

This whole incident may be re-stimulating, and so I just wanted to acknowledge that this may be painful for them, and to extend my heartfelt sympathy.

I was raped when I was a young adult, and for very many years afterward any report of a rape in the news, any depiction in the media, and any discussion of the subject would send me into a deep spell of anxious depression. I'm fine with it now--after much therapy and support--but I know how difficult this might be on those who have had to endure predators like Trump.

Probably all of us know people who have been victimized in this way, whether we're conscious of their story or not.

Rape culture is real, and Donald Trump is its poster boy.

I'm just glad the general public finally gets to see and hopefully understand what a despicable person the Republicans have foisted on the American electorate.

From personal experience, I can say it was a truly bad trigger day.

this kind of thing has happened. It is traumatic. I suspect that Donald Trump has done this many times. Perhaps some of his victims will speak out about it. That often happens when things like this are revealed.

If so, Trump will never be elected to anything, ever.

to find a woman who hasn't been groped in some way, myself included. It's a sad reality in a woman's life.

we tend to focus on combat vets when discussing that syndrome, but really any form of violence and trauma can cause it, and it often requires much therapy and some sympathetic friends and relatives to get over it.

to sexual assault survivors everywhere.
