Pence must really be beside himself behind the scenes

He's worked his whole life to get to this point. A US House Rep, a Governor, now a VP candidate. But he's on a sinking ship that won't only not get him into the White House but will also probably sink any real future politics for him. He will be toxic. Remember Palin? Maybe he'll work for Fox News or something like that. But I think he is probably pissed off beyond belief. Good!

He's trying desperately to figure out what to say. Hobson's choice, really.

I think I heard the words 'melting down', although that could have been about anyone in the GOP.

To use a great acronym I learned while in the Navy - they are F.U.B.A.R.

If he resigned, he could hold himself as a moral man and live to have future opportunities. But he won't do that.

While it would be unprecedented at this stage of an election, it would probably save his wretched arse.

The longer he waits, the worse it's going to be for him. He has a choice to make, and neither one is a good one for him. He can stay on the ship with Trump, and go down with him, or he can drop out and hope the stink doesn't stick to him, but he can't keep waiting to drop out, the longer he does the worse he looks.

His Christian conservatism is his hallmark. If he believes what he says, he should repudiate trump.

No politician with a healthy career would take the job. He said he was waiting for word from God on what direction he should take, but I suspect the word, and the hope for future benefits, may have come via a more secular source, such as the Kochs.

deplorable. He doesn't need to look at Trump to be beside himself. All he has to do is take a good look in the mirror.
