Let's say, just on speculation, that Trump doesn't show up tomorrow night

for the debate. It seems unlikely to me, but it's a long-shot possibility. What would be the result of that? Would that effectively end his campaign completely? I think so.

It's too late for him to remove his name from the ballot, but he could conceivably simply end his campaign by not showing up to debate Hillary Clinton.

Now, that would be news that would blow away every other headline for quite some time.

I'm beginning to think that tomorrow's debate will be a Hillary-only show, assuming it isn't suddenly canceled. A cancellation doesn't seem probable to me, but Trump's absence is beginning to seem a little probable.

If he's there, he's going to have to answer questions about this. If he's not there, he's finished. Either way, he loses. And, if he blows a gasket at the debate, he loses even worse.

Trump's in a tight spot, boys! (apologies to O! Brother Where Art Thou)

He'll probably come to the debate but try to be very low key... it's hard to imagine he can put in the performance he needs to change anyone's mind at this point. And he's a loose cannon, Hillary just needs to light the fuse.

This debate is a must watch if he shows up, and a muster watch if he doesn't.

Good times!

9. Trump just said he will blast Bill Clinton for sexual misconduct at the debate.

I think he will show up and drag out every last fact and rumor that has ever circulated about Bill, as well as Hillary's supposed crimes to cover for Bill. I think he will be foaming at the mouth as he tries to upset Hillary so he can get her to misspeak.

Of course, THAT may well backfire on him. Big time.

I believe I may have actually caught the moment when Hillary suddenly realized, during an interview, that people were right about Bill's affair with Monica Lewinsky. There was this moment when Hillary retorted as always, people didn't realize how impossible that would be in the White House with all the staff back and forth and in and out constantly and floor to ceiling windows. The interviewer waited for a moment and then said something about back behind the bathroom door by the closet. Hillary looked startled; her eyes shifted sharply as though seeing something for the first time and her jaw trembled. Then she took a deep breath, and forcibly turned the conversation back to the important issues of state she had come to the interview to discuss.

Hillary Clinton has guts. And brains. I believe she will be ready for Trump's tricks.

The Donald is incapable of finessing the moment (if that were even possible). Throwing the 90s & Bill Clinton's infidelities into HRC's face will simply add fuel to the fire, turning the debate into a one-sided food fight.

As for Hillary Clinton's reaction? Anyone who watched the Benghazi interrogation, an 11-hour grilling, knows that Hillary Clinton is more than capable of rising to the moment and sweeping BS arguments aside. She is supremely calm and prepared when under attack and makes her opposition look small and foolish in comparison.

Trump is in a no-win situation. The apology tape showed that clearly. The man was barely able to contain his rage. He'll be on a vendetta tomorrow night, pure revenge for his own failings. I have absolute confidence in Hillary Clinton. She will not only speak for herself but for all the people Trump and his goon squad have insulted, diminished and demeaned. She'll do it as calmly and precisely as a surgeon.

If he doesn't show? She'll do it solo. Either way, he'll be sliced and diced.
