Sat Oct 8, 2016, 02:34 PM

Donald Trump’s rise toward the Republican nomination has been fueled, in part, by his candid and often crude style — more Howard Stern, say, than Mitt Romney.

https://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/donald-trump-said-a-lot-of-gross-things-about-women-on-howar?utm_term=.jobLnmRgPG#.hhEEGlpRrJ

Examples can be found at the above link if anyone cares to see them.

I just don't get that having all this on the record already before the Access Hollywood stuff wasn't enough to shame them.

can keep it up so long, but let's throw in political opportunism. The game was blown big time, Trump was sinking fast and threatening hundreds of offices, and the party needed an ostentatious excuse to turn on their creature. Which Trump's use of the word "pussy" gives them.

Personally, I would have chosen Trump's determined wish to execute 5 innocent teenagers grown to 5 innocent men, but I'm a Democrat.

I think they thought they could keep things from coming out. The media was doing a great job of killing any negative reports on Trump. Then he decided to diss the media, and things changed. Once the press started actually reporting the "real" Donald Trump things went down hill and yesterday was the beginning of the end for Trump, and the GOP is going down with him.

Republican politicians watch the polls. With more voters turning away from Trump, and the media feeling secure enough to openly criticize him, some of them feel safe in leaving the herd and breaking away from the rest of the weak and timid deplorables.

They knew Donald was deep in the muck, but thought they'd be able to get away with a few flecks and spots that they could mostly brush off, and dry cleaning would take care of the rest.

Suddenly, Donald's monster-truck wheels are spinning wildly, thick, gooey mud is flying their way in large quantities, and not only are their teeeny umbrellas too small to protect them, but they'd put them away.

There's no way to spin "grab them by the p***y." It's why Trump was forced to spew something resembling (in his mind) an apology.

The racism, xenophobia, antisemitism...those all targeted minority groups that were mostly Democratic voters to begin with.

But this latest stunt affects half the country. If Republicans lose white women by a large number, that's it. Presidency is gone, Senate is gone, House is gone and the Supreme Court will be majority progressive for the next decade.

So the scramble to condemn begins.

But if we make good gains and focus on strong GOTV in 2018/2020, it's not out of the realm of possibility then.

Still, I think Republicans will likely keep the House until redistricting. But their future as a party is dim.

As I've been posting for months, Republicans in power share that racist, bigoted, misogynistic, and rapey views with Don-the-Con and are NO DIFFERENT than him, but unlike him, they were successful at hiding it from the American people overall. Now he's being exposed - and thus they're being exposed - for the ugly Party they are, and they're in panic mode and are trying to distance themselves from him.

But make no mistake - Trump is exactly what they are. Exactly.
